From the surf to the snow

So a little more about background. I grew up in Oxnard, California.
Which in case you don't know is between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles along the coast. I started surfing and bodyboarding when I was 7 and was still doing it a couple times a week minimum up until the day I moved. I am what I like to call a free form Pagan. I don't follow any one religion or god. I follow my own path and believe that each person has their own path to follow also. Don't try to detour me from my path and I won't try to detour you. I respect everyone's right to believe or NOT believe whatever they want as long as they are not hurting anyone else.

Do as you will but harm none, ya know?

Right now I live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I know huh? There are a lot of Mormons here. I like the Mormons myself. I especially like their rule of not doing any business on Sundays. That rocks, the stores are only 1/2 full, same with the movie theaters and if I let fly with an expletive no one will give me stink eye! NICE! Idaho is very different than Cali. Did you know that people here wave at each other, and with all five fingers too! That took getting used to. After learning to drive in Cali when I go to wave a hand at someone while driving my hand just seems to want to only want to throw one finger up. I dunno, it's a reflex! You really don't want to flip any one off here, because chances are you will see them again within a week. There are only about 50,000 people in this town. Complete strangers will strike up a conversation with you in line at a store or sitting at the park. It also snows! But I can start my car and leave it running and unlocked in the driveway and it will run out of gas before someone steals it! LOL
Except, I found out that I hate the snow!
